How do i make it through this?

DHS stepped in and took my kids April 1 because we didn't have running water cuz we just moved in our new home. My 3 kids r staying with foster parents and calling them mom and dad and the foster parents aren't correcting them. How should I tell them we feel that that is disrespectful without sounding mean? I don't want them telling our case worker anything.
