What star does Homer compare Diomedes to in the Iliad?

Begining of book V. "She(athena) caused his helmet and shield to blaze with tireless flame, like that bright star of late summer that rises from bathing in the stream of oceanus and outshines all others." I didn't think it was sirius because it is easily seen in the early summer.
