Does anyone out there think its ok for a person to leave the home for hours on end and not let anyone know whe?

this is someone who never has time for the important things like making doctor appointments and such but sems to find time to move other people from one house to another or visit friends for hours,please give your thoughts on this subject because we fight about it all the time. I say its rude and disrespectful and he thinks it's no big deal, this is after me telling him about it over and over.
