How do I confront this woman?

i'm 17 and I'm in foster care I have a 1 month old baby.. My problem is that my foster mom has an issue with my goin to my baby when he cries she says over and over that I dont have to go and to just let him cry.. but I dont want to let him cry because I am not comfortable with that. How and What can I say to her to let her know this with out sounding disrespectful?
