Is it true that ''Old Adolf's'' original plan was to deport the European Jews to Madagascar?

Seems he wanted to ship them all off to the Island of Madagascar, off the east coast of southern Africa to start up their own little Country, but his plan went pear shaped and became impracticable due to the war. Anyway, seems the poor guy was at a loss what to do with them now so he decided to pack them all off to concentration camps instead and use them as slave labour. And the rest we all know, is history. But is this Madagascar, story true or is it part of the Holocaust denial merry-go-round? You decide.
