Ladies would you date an older guy lets say if youre 30 and he is 47?

there's a guy who i knew just a cool person and ran into other day notice he wasn't wearing his ring he told me he is separated from his wife but i don't think the wife want him to go but he said she put his stuff out because he cheated due to not getting emotional needs from his wife for 8months however we talk just like friends do but i notice he calls me alot and i told him he should work his problems out with his wife. he says she disrespectful and there's no reconciling anything. he want to move on and be with some one who loves him for him. hes not prince charming but funny and cool what are the odds? any opinion?
